This device is one of the higher quality speaker phones on the market. It is very easy to pair with several phones and battery life is amazing.Phone quality is average, but do not have your top down on your car.Worth every penny. Johnny Portland Oregon
I was amazed that it imported all 700 phone numbers from my Palm/Centro cell phone. I particularly like the way it automatically re-engages when you return to the car, just by sensing motion when you get in. Callers have told me that, apart from sounding a bit like being in a tunnel, they are able to hear me fine and can understand what I am saying. I have no trouble hearing callers on my end. It is very intuitive to use and I like the ease of removing it from the visor using the magnetic clip. I am very pleased with my choice.
This is a big improvement over an ear piece. That means that, if you move the visor to another position, the panel may flop a bit. I have not tried any other visor mounted product, however. The panel is attached to a clip that slides onto the driver's visor with a magnet. I have also had some minor difficulties with understanding a caller, which may be the fault of the caller's phone.Overall, I like the product, however. Simple to use, its hands free and its better than an ear piece.
This speakerphone works great with my IPhone 3G. I also could not get voice activated answering to work either, but it's easy enough to answer by hitting the huge green button so that's not an issue.I have an ipod controller to play music on my car stereo, so if I'm listening to music and a phone call comes in, the music stops and the SuperAnt takes over. The speaker is loud enough, even on the freeway, although my car, a Lexus 330, has very low ambient noise.
The primary features I had to have were: 1) Loud enough to understand2) Long lasting battery After the initial charge, it lasted about 3 weeks before needing to get charged again. Transferring the contacts from the IPhone only takes a minute or two. I have had it one month now.
With the IPhone 3G, it does announce who is calling you, or the number if the person calling is not in the contact list. I leave it on all the time. It automatically connects when you get into the car, and announces "Connected to phone".
Issues: Voice dialing does not work with the IPhone 3G. Except for having to charge it every 3 weeks, it works exactly like a built in bluetooth option.
The bummer thing is that if you have two phones it has to do this with each new phone. Ultimately I don't use it anymore for these reasons. It loads all your contacts as well which is also cool. You can dial and answer with your voice. As far as clarity goes it does a decent job. You could do worse, but something tells me there is better out there. Sometimes you will pick it up and talk into it which truly seems to defeat the purpose. You will find yourself putting your ear up to your visor to make out what they are saying.
If it had that one function I could likely rate it higher. I ended up just not using it for work because I didn't want to go through and add four hundred contacts each time I switched, which was everyday. It is hard to get away from the tin can sound using bluetooth but BlueAnt does a credible job. It has some cool features worth note. I will likely get one that will port it through my stereo speakers. Iphone has over four hundred contacts, work phone not as many. The nagging thing is that the volume from the caller is not loud enough to cover engine and exterior noise levels. As it stands it is a solid 3 stars. I'm hopeful that BlueAnt 4 makes some of these changes.
